The Albanian state will be a shareholder, but the benefits from the construction of the tourist port in Durrës are unknown. The day before, in a ceremony organized in the premises of the prime minister, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the company represented by the Arab investor, Muhammed El Alabbar, and the company created for the coordination and administration of the processes related to the project.
Meanwhile, according to Prime Minister Edi Rama, the benefits remain to be negotiated, while they will be made public when the agreement goes to parliament.
“The Albanian state will be a shareholder there, it will be a partner, and the state is a partner when those who negotiate think about the state and do not think about their own pockets, as those who accuse us of doing the same thing have thought all their lives they have done, because they don’t know how to do anything else and they don’t know how to look other than that, but this remains for the negotiations that will be finalized and that the result will be published at the moment when the agreement will go to the Parliament to be approved by Parliament of Albania”.
