Work carries on for the construction of another airport in Albania, that of the coastal city of Vlora.
The first construction works of the Vlora airport, which plans to develop transoceanic flights, seem to have taken shape.
Prime Minister Rama, who promised during the 2021 campaign the construction of the Vlora Airport has published on his Facebook account the images from the runway of the Vlora International Airport that has taken its shape.
The Vlora airport is expected to be built within the next 4 years, where a consortium of companies established in Switzerland was declared the winner. Vlora airport will be the third airport in the country, after Rinas and Kukes, where the flights will be transoceanic.
It is expected to create 1,000 new jobs, reduce ticket prices and turn Vlora into the most important tourist gateway of the region.
We remind you that the construction of Kukës Airport, in addition to the facilities for citizens living in the North of Albania and beyond in the neighboring countries of Kosovo and Serbia, also brought a drastic reduction in the price of tickets.
